Rethinking the vacation
What started out as a mini vacation changed instantly. Just 2 weeks before our real road trip traveling vacation, our faithful car died . With our ELF recumbent bike nicely strapped into our trailer we were off to the mountains when the engine blew in our little old van. Some days, it just pays to… Continue reading Rethinking the vacation
Traffic
Cruising in Saturday traffic, is way different than commuting during the week. 18 casual miles without a bike lane in sight, is not for the faint of heart. When we first started pedaling, 3 plus years ago, I thought it would be nice to pedal with music. I made a small speaker system for my… Continue reading Traffic
So we went bike camping
Remind me once again why we thought pedaling to a campground at night after work, was a good idea. OMG the potholes! We bounced and tried to dodge as many potholes as possible, but we still had to stop a couple of times to temporarily fix the our lights. It wasn’t late, but it’s still… Continue reading So we went bike camping

It's open and fun. But with the nasty weather we've been having I built side shields for it. The clear… Continue reading I love my ELF “Shelby” but in the rain, I wish, I had the PEBLs windshield wiper.
It’s errand day and it’s raining!
When the fear of going into the Costco veggie dept is greater than pedaling your ELF in the SoCal traffic and rain to get there, you know it’s really cold inside that giant fridge.
With a wave and a smile I kept pedaling!
This mornings pedal was nothing different then normal, but this afternoons was great. I stayed right with a 4x4 truck for almost 5 miles. Granted he took off faster and got to the signal before me, but we traveled thru town side by side. He started taking off faster and faster, each red light. But… Continue reading With a wave and a smile I kept pedaling!
