Pedaling San Diego

It’s been a while since Lucky and Shelby have been to the waterfront. It started out as a foggy morning, but it ended up as a blustery and cool day. We pedaled Shelter Island, Harbor Island, and the old Naval Training Center which is now Liberty Station a (small)housing, shopping, and nice park area. Then… Continue reading Pedaling San Diego

Shelby is up and running again

Today was Shelby’s first ride out of the garage in a couple of weeks after the Big Bang cracked body incident. Today we pedaled to lunch a simple 5 miles. Shelby seems good as new, maybe even stronger/better than new. I think, we may have found a fairly simple, body repair and crack preventative technique.… Continue reading Shelby is up and running again

Summer heat!

I just “pedaled” (not cruised) my normal morning 10 miles on my E-trike/ELF. 80*by 8am. I’m exhausted!Drivers kept honking at me. People, I can’t go any faster there are cars in front of me. I’m the one who’s hot. Why are you people so grumpy in your car with AC.

Our new non E-trikes

Here’s my 2cents worth of nothing. For just over 4 years we’ve had our e trike ELFs. While they are big and dorky, I love them. I commute 10 miles every morning in it. People can really see me, and that makes me feel safer on city streets. Just recently we bought 2 Terra non… Continue reading Our new non E-trikes

2 flats in 1 week

Last Sunday we rode the new Rose Canyon bike path. It’s really nice, EXCEPT for the first 3/4 mile. It was an old poorly maintained asphalt path with over growth. But after that the path was amazing. We had a great time on our 16 mile pedal that day. But the following day was not… Continue reading 2 flats in 1 week

Tuesday in the desert

Tuesday was our little day trip to the desert. We trailered up Shelby and Lucky for the 90 minute (more like 2 hour winding ride from sea level to 4500ft then back to sea level into the desert and Borrego Springs. We started at Anza Borrego State Park. They have open bathrooms 😂. That’s a… Continue reading Tuesday in the desert
