We kinda got distracted a little today. We were pedaling around searching out things for the #lovetoride scavenger hunt in #LaMesa. I have only one clue left, how is that possible? It says hike Cowles and take a picture. We are gonna die. I’m including hubby in this.I hiked it a couple of years ago… Continue reading Saturday Scavenger Hunt

Now this is a bike shop!
Just recently I bought a used/new/never ridden Terratrike Rover recumbent trike. I wanted something that would fit on trails and paths easier. It’s definitely an entry level trike, but that’s all I need right now. I just want something to cruise and get a cardio workout. Maybe later I’ll add a small 350-500 e-assist system… Continue reading Now this is a bike shop!

Just before the fog rolled in
A sweet little pedal along Mission Bay. By the time we packed up the fog was definitely there. Now it’s 18 miles home to the heat.
Our new non E-trikes
Here’s my 2cents worth of nothing. For just over 4 years we’ve had our e trike ELFs. While they are big and dorky, I love them. I commute 10 miles every morning in it. People can really see me, and that makes me feel safer on city streets. Just recently we bought 2 Terra non… Continue reading Our new non E-trikes
Tuesday in the desert

We trailered up Shelby and Lucky for the 90 minute (more like 2 hour winding ride from sea level to 4500ft then back to sea level into the desert and Borrego Springs. We started at Anza Borrego State Park. They have open bathrooms 😂. That’s a… Continue reading Tuesday in the desert

March 20, 2013 by Carolyn Szczepanski Guest post by Marya McQuirter Years ago while working on her dissertation on the social history of blacks in D.C. during the first half of the 20th century, McQuirter came upon an article about five black women who biked from New York City to Washington in 1928. She is trying… Continue reading WOMEN’S (BIKE) HISTORY: 3 DAYS, 5 WOMEN, 250 MILES
